Greene County Medical Center announces that Dr. Donald Hillebrand, with the Center for Liver Disease, part of UnityPoint Clinic, is now available for inpatient and outpatient consultations via telehealth. Hillebrand began seeing inpatients in December and will begin seeing outpatients at Greene County Medical Center in January on the fourth Wednesday of every month.
Dr. Hillebrand provides treatment for patients suffering from an array of liver problems. He works closely with referring physicians, offering a comprehensive approach to the treatment of liver disease through specialized consultations and assessments. Specific conditions treated include acute and chronic hepatitis; autoimmune disease of the liver; Cirrhosis; fatty liver disease; genetic and metabolic liver diseases; liver cancer; and pre-and post liver transplant care and follow-up.
Initially Dr. Hillebrand will use the telehealth services provided by Greene County Medical Center to consult with inpatients and outpatients. As demand increases, Hillebrand will be available for clinic hours in Jefferson. Telehealth appointments can be made by calling the Center for Liver Disease directly at 1-888-343-4164.
Greene County Medical Center also offers specialty clinics for orthodontia, dermatology, plastic surgery and vascular surgery with professionals using telehealth and/or coming from Fort Dodge, Des Moines and West Des Moines on various days each month.
